HOTEL GUEST COORDINATOR

Baker House is a 5-guest suite luxury boutique hotel and fine dining restaurant situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Geneva. We pride ourselves on exceeding guest expectations by providing the highest level of service. The Coordinator would be responsible for shaping memorable, personalized, and one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests. The Coordinator will serve as an ambassador for the city of Lake Geneva as well as being the face of The Baker House.

Task and Responsibilities:

  • Greet, Welcome, escort and accommodate hotel guests and ensure that all guest needs are satisfied
  • Provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional and genuine experience
  • Build genuine relationships with guests and document guest preferences to ensure satisfaction upon future visits
  • Provide an orientation of the hotel and escort hotel guests to their respective rooms
  • Assist guests with luggage and their personal belongings; explain features of the guest room such as thermostat control, television, in-room safe, Wi-Fi, etc.
  • Learn the names and personally recognize regular guests. Use guest names during all interactions in the room or on the phone
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  • Provide clear walking and driving directions for the local area with or without use of a map. Answer guest questions in person, over the phone and via email.
  • Supply guests with directions or arrange for transportation (taxicab, shuttle, private transportation, local Pedi-cab transportation, Uber/ Lyft assistance)
  • Report accidents, injuries and any unsafe working conditions to your manager or the manager on duty (MOD)
  • Assist Front Desk whenever possible and needed including but not limited to assisting with check ins and reservations, assigning rooms, issuing room keys, and providing an introductory orientation to the property
  • Make and review reservations according to established standards
  • Process guest check-outs by reviewing charges, processing payment, and updating room status
  • Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
  • Monitor public areas for service, comfort, safety, and well-being of guests
  • Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of (1) year of hospitality or guest service experience in a luxury or boutique hotel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have ability to courteously present information to people in one-on-one and group situations
  • Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively
  • Adhere to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in regulation with company dress code policy.

BARTENDER

BARTENDER

The ideal candidate will have a passion for crafting creative cocktails, a strong knowledge of beer and wine, and the ability to engage customers in lively conversation.

Responsibilities:

  • Mix and serve drinks to customers, ensuring prompt and accurate service
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our beverage menu, including beer, wine, and spirits
  • Create and innovate new cocktail recipes, and ensure consistent quality of all drinks served
  • Engage customers in conversation and create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment

Requirements:

  • 21 years old with current bartending licensure
  • At least 2 years of experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
  • Creative and innovative approach to crafting cocktails
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude

Physical Standards: Must have mobility for long periods of up to four (4) hours in length. Must be able to safely reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds. Transports plates, glasses, and baskets to and from dining room, service bar, and the kitchen several times per shift. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to employees and dining room staff.

WAIT STAFF

We are in search of motivated and experienced wait staff to join our team at Baker House. As a member of our wait staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that our guests have a memorable dining experience.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Greet guests as they arrive
  • Answer questions about menu items, make recommendations, and upsell specials.
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that guests have everything they need throughout their meal.
  • Clear tables, clean up spills, and maintain a clean dining area.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions, and process payments accurately.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with other staff members and management to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for guests.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and stay calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a reliable mode of transportation to and from work.
  • Must have current food handlers safety certification

As a busser, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service by keeping the restaurant clean and organized.

Responsibilities:

  • Clearing tables quickly and efficiently
  • Resetting tables with clean tableware and linens
  • Assisting servers with delivering food and beverages to tables
  • Keeping the restaurant clean and organized, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down tables and chairs, and removing trash and debris
  • Assisting with dishwashing and maintaining a clean dish area

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a busser or in a similar role preferred, but not required

  • Cleaning and maintaining guest suites, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors
  • Laundering linens and towels, and ensuring they are properly stored
  • Restocking guest supplies, such as toiletries, coffee, and tea
  • Cleaning common areas, such as hallways, staircases, and reception areas
  • Adhering to hotel safety and security protocols, including proper handling of keys and access codes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a housekeeper, preferably in a hotel or similar environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
